Changes in the database

January 19, 2011

I recently wanted to run a script that associates all rows in one table with all rows in another. Now I could have done that just running the script but,

1. I do not have access to the live database

2. It does not look like a pretty thing to do. Where will the script be stored? Also, if the script is not stored, then it is not documented.

The best solution to this in my opinion is creating a migration and adding the script in the migration. This fits in the workflow really well.
