Choose random value from array

Suppose you have an array:

ruby-1.9.1-p378 > arr = [0,1,2,3,4,5]
 => [0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Then, the following are equivalent.

ruby-1.9.1-p378 > arr[rand(5)]

=> 3

ruby-1.9.1-p378 > arr.sample

=> 1

The sample method can be used to pick a random value from the array
